Erik Hoffmann (b. 1952, Leoben, Austria) is a contemporary realist painter. Maybe my favorite portrait artist ever. He is known for his evocative portraits and contemplative landscapes. He studied free painting at the Kunsthochschule Kassel in Germany from 1975 to 1981, where he later taught portrait painting.
